Q: How would you describe Third Stroke compared to
Nervate and Cervix State Sequences?

A: Third Stroke is more club oriented. It has different
bass structures for the songs, as it is not so focused
on electric-guitar layers.

Q: One thing missing from Third Stroke was any
“ambient” song like Lumen Obscura from CX State
Sequences or Utopic Tranquility from Nervate. Was
this intentional?

A: It was definitely not intentional, it just did not
happen this time. The re-issue of Nervate will have
a new ambient track like those aforementioned as
one of the bonuses.

Q: The vocal style seems to be more subdued on
Third Stroke. Are you still doing the majority of the
vocals, or changing singing styles?

A: In fact I do all the vocals and lyrics on Biopsy.
I try to experiment with vocal tones and phrases often.

Q: How do you determine what will be a Biopsy or
Aghast View song? Do you write for a particular project
at one time?

A: No...we know what we are writing. Or we write to
Aghast View or to Biopsy specifically.

Q: Third Stroke, like the two albums before it, is
incredibly diverse in sound. Is there any common
theme linking the songs together?

A: Not really. The themes are very subliminal and
imaginative.

Q: I understand the first Biopsy album, Nervate,
will be re-released early next year! What can we
expect from the re-release? New tracks and/or remixes?

A: It will have new tracks as bonuses, and new cover
artwork as well.

Q: Where are you looking for the sound of Biopsy to
go next?

A: Hmmm...we don’t know yet. It is a matter of
momentum.

Q: What are you working on as we speak? What does
the future hold for all your projects, esp. Aghast View
with the current “upheaval” at Zoth Ommog?

A: We are working with new Biopsy tracks(some for
the re-issue), and soon we plan onstarting a new Aghast
View album. We are not sure what happened with
Zoth, but we know it is still an existing label and we
are still licensed to them for future releases.

Q: Final thoughts/comments?

A: Thank you very much for this opportunity and all
the best to all our fans and supporters!
